The first time you walk up to a Wild Bill’s wagon, you’ll probably notice three things:
A wall of stainless steel mugs.
A whole bunch of craft soda on tap.
And somebody already coming back for refill number four.
Welcome to Wild Bill’s.
The mug is the ritual. Fortunately, it’s pretty simple.
Grab a mug. Fill it up. Refill it all day. Bring it back next time.
That’s it.
How Does the Wild Bill’s Mug Work?
Buy a Wild Bill’s stainless steel mug at the event, and unlimited refills are included for the rest of that day.
Root Beer. Orange Cream. Black Cherry. Walk the fair for two hours and come back anyway.
As long as you have your mug, we’ll keep pouring.
Then keep the mug.
Next time you find us, bring it with you and you can purchase discounted refills throughout the day.
Your mug is meant to travel.
Step 1: Pick Your Mug
This is arguably the hardest part.
Wild Bill’s mugs are collectible stainless steel, in different styles, designs and sizes. Event inventory varies, so every wagon’s table looks a little different.
If you see one you love, grab it.
You can browse the bigger shelf of mugs, tankards and Double Barrels in the online mug shop. What you see online and what you see at an event won’t always match. That’s part of the hunt.
Step 2: Pick Your Soda
What’s pouring depends on the event. A typical wagon is some mix of:
The classics: Root Beer, Sarsaparilla, Birch Beer, Black Cherry, Ginger Ale, Grape
The creams: Orange Cream, Vanilla Cream, Strawberry Cream
The fun ones: Sparkling Lemonade, Rocket Pop, Ring Pop Blue Raspberry, Berry Blast, Strawberry and Watermelon
When they’re on: Apple Pie, Pumpkin Spice, and Zero Sugar pours like Pineapple, Blueberry, Key Lime and Root Beer
Ask the crew what they recommend. Or start mixing.
Two to know:
Dreamsicle = Orange Cream + Vanilla Cream.
The other one = Sparkling Lemonade with a hit of Blue Raspberry Ring Pop.
You’ve got all day. Use it.
Step 3: Come Back for Refills
This is where it clicks.
Refills are unlimited for the rest of the day you buy your mug. Don’t treat the first pour like a vow.
Finish it. Walk around. Come back. Try something else. Build the Dreamsicle. Hit the lemonade with Blue Raspberry Ring Pop.
Repeat as necessary.
Step 4: Bring Your Mug Back
When the event is over, don’t retire that mug to the kitchen cabinet.
Bring it the next time Wild Bill’s rolls into town. Returning mug owners get discounted refill pricing.
We see the same mugs come back year after year. Comic con to state fair to Renaissance faire to air show to some completely ridiculous pickle festival three states away.
That’s exactly how it should be.
Already Have a Wild Bill’s Mug?
BRING IT.
If you know we’re going to be there, throw it in the car.
Forgot it?
Go get it.
Where You’ll See Us
If you’ve been to San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic Con, Dragon Con, C2E2, Anime Expo, Anime Ohio, Cincinnati Comic Expo, Motor City Comic Con, Awesome Con, PAX East, PAX Unplugged or Origins Game Fair, you’ve probably walked past the wagon.
Same for Fan Expo in Cleveland, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, Boston and New Orleans.
Same for Ohio State Fair, Canfield Fair, Circleville Pumpkin Show, Cleveland Oktoberfest and Equine Affaire.
And that’s before the county fairs, air shows, Renaissance faires, motorsports weekends, food festivals and wonderfully weird stuff in between.
This week’s map is the events calendar. Check it before you make a special trip.

Want Wild Bill’s at Home?
The wagon is hard to replicate in your kitchen. We know.
If you find a flavor you love, you can still get it shipped. Browse the craft soda flavors and stock the fridge.
